The 48-year-old Roxbury man accused of viciously raping a 25-year-old woman at gunpoint in a Back Bay MBTA station stairwell was on parole and wearing a GPS monitoring bracelet, the Herald has learned.
A law enforcement source said Richard Flowers had just finished serving 13 years in state prison for armed robbery and was due to return home at 10 p.m. as part of his release. Authorities said he raped a woman near the Clarendon Street exit just before curfew, at about 8:30 p.m. Friday
