Breaking bracelets, high-speed chase lands drug dealer in jail

NEW GLASGOW A Thorburn man already on house arrest is going to jail for nine months. Troy Jonathan Cohoon, 23, twice cut off electronic supervision ankle bracelets between mid-August and early September and led Stellarton police and RCMP on a 43-kilometre cross-country chase before being jailed late last week. Cohoon was given a nine-month sentence in May to be served as six months house arrest followed by three months of strict supervision after he pleaded guilty to producing and possessing marijuana for purposes of trafficking. A condition of his sentence was that he abstain from alcohol and other intoxicants
