'It's things I never even use or wear or ever will,' she said of the jewelry.
Ann Cusmano, another guest, walked away from the party with the mother lode -- $1,246.46!
The 1980s were a golden era of bling -- thick chains and bracelets, enormous earrings and big rings.

She said it was 'an amazing place,' where 'amidst everything, amidst the chaos ... children feel accepted in society.'
Oliver struggled with the words to describe the once-in-a-lifetime experience, but said she feels fortunate she was able to go and 'would return in a heartbeat.'
Religion and English teacher Paul Zamora said he witnessed disabled children living on the mountains who received their first wheelchair at the age of 12, otherwise able to get around only when being carried.
He said seeing the parents and children receiving care helped him to feel the connection between the fundraising efforts at Notre Dame and the centre.
It was a remarkable experience, he said, being able to 'see first hand the people we've touched.'
Berkhout, who also visited Peru, said Yancana Huasy exists 'in the middle of a large slum, with 1.2 million people living in poverty. The centre exists to give them hope.'
The group brought back 1,500 colourful bracelets from Peru, made by the mothers of children who have received care at Yancana Huasy. Students at ND have been selling the bracelets for $2 each as another means to raise money for the centre - a small price to pay for a large token of thanks.
Berkhout estimated the school has sold about 800 bracelets since March
