BOCA RATON, FL -- The city unveiled special bracelets that could become life-saving equipment for families with autistic children. Since children with autism tend to wander from their homes without parental supervision, the Project Lifesaver bracelet functions as a transponder device that can monitor the locations of loved ones who have a tendency to wander. One family who knows first-hand how important this high-tech help can be. It was the scariest day of my life, said Michelle Rubin

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A man featured on a NewsChannel 36 Fugitive Files report has been rearrested, this time for breaking and entering while wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet.
Laquail Wallace was on the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department's most wanted list after he was accused in a violent home invasion where a woman was blindfolded and robbed while her 6-year-old slept.
Viewer tips helped lead to Wallace's arrest, but he was released from jail and charges were dropped after the district attorney said there wasn't enough evidence to make the case against him.
Two weeks later, Wallace was arrested again for possessing stolen property. He was released from jail with an electronic monitoring bracelet.
