ntario County residents can call Ontario County Office for the Aging to get information or sign on to Project Lifesaver, which offers Alzheimer's patients bracelets with a GPS-tracking device. While other counties offer similar programs, a national program through the Alzheimer's Association called Safe Return is available to anyone no matter where they live. Safe Return provides the individual with an engraved bracelet or necklace. Should the person wander and become lost, the bracelet or necklace instructs the person who finds them to call an 800 telephone number. A number on the bracelet identifies the lost person and Safe Return will notify the person's caregivers that he or she has been found. For more details, call Ontario County Office for the Aging at (585) 396-4040; or the Wayne County Office for the Aging at (315) 946-5624. Workshops and support groups are also available through the Alzheimer's Association. Visit www.alz-rochesterny.org. Upcoming workshops: Understanding Alzheimer's Disease: Sept
